Sushant Khatri is a performer and dancer from Nepal. He was born in Kathmandu, the capital city of Nepal. Sushant completed his school, education from Brain Land Academy, Budhanilkantha, Nepal. After that, he pursued a degree from Tribhuvan University, Kirtipur, Kathmandu. He developed a keen interest in dance at an early age but both his parents wanted him to study further. He started from B-boying dancing style and used to dance at parties and functions. His parents were against his love for dancing but his sister, who is also a renowned dancer from Nepal, supported her throughout his journey. With the constant support of his sister, he struggled for two years in the field of dancing in Nepal, and he used to walk seven kilometers every day to learn dancing.
After continuous failure, he moved to India to establish his career in dancing. He became a dance instructor and began teaching dance for six months. He trained others for various styles without charging any fee. In the year 2013, he got his first break as he got selected for the dance reality TV Show India’s Dancing Superstar. Even though he did not win the show but he won hearts of people across India and Nepal and this was his first shot to fame. Later, he participated in an online dance show in 2016, and he won the show. Afterward, he auditioned for Dance Plus season 1, but due to his repetitive style he got rejected by the judged and did not qualify to participate.
After that, he did not lose hope and gave his audition for the second season of Dance Plus season in 2016. He did not only qualify but also became one of the finalists and most loved contestants of Dance Plus season 2. He is a lyrical dancer who is known for depicting every single word of the lyrics through his dance moves. He has represented Nepal through his participation in various shows. In addition to dance reality shows, he has even appeared on a music video in Nepal along with Aanchal Sharma. The song is called Mangali which has been sung by Shiva Pariyar. He has been signed for a role in the third sequence of the mega-blockbuster film ABCD (Anybody Can Dance) directed by ace dancer and choreographer turned director Remo D’Souza. The shooting of the movie began in the year 2018 and is set to release in November 2019.
