Salome Bhanu was previously working for Immigration as a Senior Advisor. She is now a stand-up comedian; she made her stage debut in Wellington in November 2020. Bhanu was a contestant in UTV Bindass' Big Switch; however, after the show, she had no ties to the entertainment industry. She graduated from St. Marys Convent High School and went on to the University of Waikato to finish her postgraduate studies in 2013. Salome has worked in the marketing field for various companies, including Primepac Industrial Ltd (2016), where she was a Digital Marketing Specialist, and Chipmunks Playland & Cafe as a Marketing Manager. She worked at the Ministry of Business as a Senior Content Designer (2020). She had also volunteered at Animal Welfare's Cannie Care Unit.
