Bhargsetu Sharma

Bhargsetu Sharma is a contestant in the show MTV Roadies Real Heroes. Born on 20th April 1997, she grew up in Vadodara, Gujarat, India. Bhargsetu completed her schooling at Convent of Jesus and Mary and graduated from Maharaja Sayajirao University. Although she participated in the MTV Roadies show, Bhargsetu Sharma became a national figure after her life-risking effort to save a drowning person. Bhargsetu is an NCC cadet and an animal rescuer. She had gone on a trip to Rasalpur with her rescue team. After hearing people yelling near the river, Bhargsetu recognized two guys had drowned, with one somehow managing to reach the riverbank. Being an avid swimmer, Bhargsetu, without any second thought, jumped into the river and saved the other guy. She performed CPR for more than 21 minutes to rescue the person. Bhargsetu's brave act was applauded people all over the world and went on to win several awards, including Governor’s medal. She became the sole recipient of the prestigious Raksha Mantri Padak 2019 and was presented the honor by Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman at the Republic Day NCC camp in Delhi. She was felicitated as Outstanding Women Achiever Award 2020 By the Bn Institute of Paramedical & Science.

Besides, she got honored at Yuma Television Award 2018. Bhargsetu is an NCC ‘C’ Certificate Holder and achieved first place in Senior Wing Category and conferred National Cadet Corps. At the age of 16, she found Humans with Humanity (HWH), an animal shelter organization running to rescue animals. Through her group, Bhargsetu has rescued several strays and birds. She has a large number of followers on her social media. Bhargsetu regularly updates about the animal rescue missions to inspire her followers to do the same. She also promotes several brands such as Youva World, Pee Safe, and Daniel Wellington on her socials. In an interview, Bhargsetu mentioned that her dream is to join the Indian Army.
