, is one of his 2017 projects. He is well-known not only as a music director but also as an exceptionally gifted Hindustani classical musician with over 30 years of experience performing, teaching, and collaborating with musicians from all over the world.
He was able to practice with direct ancestors of the Maihar Gharana. His primary instrument is the Shata Tantri Veena (Kashmiri Santoor), but he also knows how to play the sarod, tabla, and pakhawaj. As a child prodigy, he received equal training in European classical music. He is an International awardee from Norway and a President's Scholarship holder from the Government of India. Dishari worked mainly on film, theater, and dance projects and contributed as an artist to several ICCR-commissioned programs. Since 2005, he has composed music for over 100 theatres and has garnered 14 awards as a composer and sound designer. He made his directorial debut in 2017 with a docu-feature. "A Life in Dance: Pandit Uday Shankar," produced by the Films Division of the Government of India.
