Soeniel Swenarain

A Dutch businessman named Soeniel Sewnarain was born in 1975. Sewnarain is from a Hindu household. At Erasmus University Rotterdam, he pursued sociology and public administration studies after graduating high school. He launched several multiracial projects. It is crucial in building a connection between India and the Netherlands, particularly in the media and entertainment industries. He has coordinated projects for the Government Media and Entertainment India (ME-India) initiative. Sewnarain created the mainstream Bollywood film market for Indian movies in the Netherlands and Belgium. In 2005, he surpassed other distributors in the Benelux to become the primary ethnic film distributor. He coordinated the first Bollywood movie premiere in Europe in 2005.

Following the Bollywood movie came major Asian filmmaking like Hong Kong films. In addition, Sewnarain founded and served as editor-in-chief of Suriname HinduLife Magazine, the most significant publication for Hindustanis in the Netherlands, and EtnoLife consulting. In addition, Sewnarain served as the president of PROMISe (Platform Rotterdam Entrepreneurs in the Multicultural Society), chairman of the local broadcaster Rotterdam "Open," a board member of MKB Rotterdam, a member of the jury for the Rotterdam Entrepreneurial Prize Ketelbinkie, and a member of the MKB Rotterdam board. The first international Indian Bhojpuri film, "Saiyan Chitchor," was co-produced by Sewnarain.

The Dutch Hindustani Narsingh Balwantsingh, Kiran Sukul, and the Surinamese Fareisa Joemmanbaks, Miss India Worldwide 2007, are introduced in this movie. These artists are the first Dutch and Surinamese Hindustanis to work in Indian cinema. The Netherlands saw the 2016 launch of Pizza Hut, the most well-known pizza chain in the world. To achieve this, he bought the Dutch Pizza Hut rights from YUM Brands, which owns Pizza Hut internationally. In 2018, he stopped operating the Express Units, where selling of pizza slices is done . However, Pizza Hut Nederland's operations continued, with a concentration on pizza delivery.
