Ravi Kiran Ayyagari is a cinematographer, photographer, and visual artist in the Indian film industry. Ravi Kiran was born and raised in a small town in Jamshedpur. He completed his schooling from Jamshedpur, but for higher studies, he came to Delhi. He did his graduation and also discovered theatre and photography in Delhi. Later, in 2006, he got admission to the Film and Television Institute of India (Pune). He did a specialization in cinematography from there. His first independent feature as a cinematographer was Lajwanti, which released at the 64th Berlin International Film Festival in the forum section.
Moreover, he had shot “AADHAR” for the Drishyam Films directed by Suman Ghosh Suman Ghosh was born in 1972. He is a Film Directo >> Read More... , which had a world premiere at 24th Busan International Film Festival, and India premiere at Mumbai film festival. The film was released worldwide on 6th December 2019. Ravi Kiran had not just been a cinematographer. But, still, he had shot many commercials for brands like ICICI Bank, Star Cement, Tata Tiscon, Fuse, Cadbury, Central, Big Bazaar, Emami, Tata Pravesh, GSK Horlicks, Dettol, Daily Hunt, and Nestle. At present, Ravi Kiran is based at Mumbai and working as a freelance cinematographer in fiction, documentaries, and commercials. He also did collaborations with artists on art videos, and installations. His excellence can be seen in Maru Ro Roti (2020) and Daag Andhera (2012) as well.
