Papu Deka is a renowned cinematographer working in the Assam film industry. Papu was born in Hajo, Assam. He has done his three-year diploma from Jyoti Chitraban Film & Television Institute, Guwahati, and holds a specialization in Cinematography. He started his journey with Nodi Mathu Boi which was released in 2015. After two years, in 2017, he grabbed Rum Vodka Whisky and Gangs of North East. And, 2018 brought him three films which were Dham Dhama Dham, Hosa Prem, and Tandab Of Pandab. During the period of 2019-22, Papu Deka received a wonderful opportunity to work as a cinematographer in Bhaworiya, Kokaideu Bindaas, Pepper Chicken, The Seventh String and Janaknandini. 2024 has brought amazing opportunities for Papu Deka as he worked in the Assamese movie, Pikhaas.
