In the drama Chidiya Ghar, there is a story of a house which is named Chidiya Ghar after the late mother of the house named Mrs. Chidiya Kesari Narayan. She was the wife of a principal Mr. Shri Kesari Narayan. He has got three sons who are married and their wives also live in the same house with them. The younger son Kapi’s wife is named Chuhiya in this drama. The grandchildren are named as Gillu, Chitti and Gajgamini.

The servants of the house also have strange names. They are Gadha Prasad and his wife Nagin and the servant’s brother Mendak Prasad. These characters behave just like the animals on which their names have been placed. Due to this aspect, the name of drama is also Chidiya Ghar. This makes the story of drama very interesting and unique.
