Smaran Ghosal, who portrayed the young Apu in Satyajit Ray's Aparajito, passed away Thursday night from cardiac failure at his home in south Kolkata. He was 64. His wife and two daughters are Ghosal's only survivors. Smaran Ghosal changed into an actor, regarded for Aparajito 1956) and (Rabindranath Tagore (1961). He died on July 10, 2008.
