He was raised in a middle-class family with an elder brother, Dhruv Malik. He studied at a local public school and completed graduation from PGDAV College, New Delhi. He has been a skilled dancer since an early age, participating in numerous school dance competitions. Nikhil scored 90% in his board exams, achieving academic excellence and pursuing the beginning of his acting journey from Mumbai.
Nikhil got into the entertainment industry, featuring in TV serials and working on popular advertisements. He also ventured into modeling, featuring in advertisements for renowned brands like Creambell and Vmart.
