Niranjan Thade is an Indian writer, director, producer, cinematographer, and educator. He finished his Bachelor of Commerce (B. Com) degree at Narsee Monjee College of Commerce and Economics from 1975 to 1978. He then took a diploma in cinema at the Film and Television Institute of India (FTII), Pune from 1978 to 1982. He can speak in Hindi, English, and Marathi languages. Niranjan Thade has thirty years of experience in the field of writing, directing, producing, and cinematography. He has gained understanding & knowledge in all creative & technical aspects of filmmaking. He has worked as a writer & concept developer in scripted films, television serials & telefilms. He engaged as a producer & director in documentaries, and multi-cam television shows, made films, telefilms, and television serials.

Niranjan Thade also worked as a cinematographer & director of photography (DOP) in documentaries, photographed feature films, multi-cam television shows, and telefilms. After graduating from India's premier film school – FTII Pune, he earned a National Award for his diploma film (Chakkar Chanduka Chameliwala). As Head of Operations – Administration & Academics & Associate Professor, Niranjan Thade has directed & helped establish the MIT School of Film & Television, a constituent of MIT Art, Design & Technology University in Loni-Kalbhor, Pune.

He worked there for over three years (Oct 2015 – Jul 2019). Before this, he engaged as an executive producer & director at A B Corp Ltd. (Jan 2011 – Dec 2012) and as director & line producer (Asa Nisi Masa) at A B Corp & Saraswati Creations (Aug 2010 – Feb 2013). Since 2000, he has been working as chief producer & director at Asa Nisi Masa. As a visiting faculty, Niranjan Thade has also been conducting workshops at Whistling Woods International, a film school in Mumbai. He enjoys sharing his understanding & experiences of television, films, OTT & related media with his students.
