Dakxin Bajrange was born on 31 December 1973 in Ahmedabad. He married Dakshaben Bajrange and had four children Ashwini, Priyanka, Keyur, Suhani, and Shubham. He studied at L and C Mehta Arts College in Psychology from 1994-1996, then did Theatre and Global Development at the University of Leeds College from 2009-2010. He also completed Commerce from Navyug Higher Secondary from 1991 – 1992. Dakxinkumar Bajrange is an award-winning filmmaker, playwright, director, and activist from the Chhara De-notied Tribes of Ahmedabad in the western part of India. He directed 70 fiction and non-fiction films on various development and political issues in India.
He won the South Asia documentary film award Jeevika-2005 for his movie Fight for Survival. His recent movie is entitled Birth 1871, which recently screened in 11 USA and Canadian universities and 5 UK universities. He conducted many theatre Workshops for community development in marginalized communities, schools, colleges, and institutions, trained more than 300 Actors and founded number of Theatre Groups. He has written Budhan Bolta Hai (2010) in Hindi, and the play Budhan, in Hindi and English.
