Barsha Rani Bishaya is an Assamese actress, choreographer, folk dancer, and model who has been working in the Assam film industry. Her nickname is Baa and Rani. On September 20, 1982, she was born in Guwahati, Kamrup Metropolitan District, Lower Assam, India. She completed her education at Cotton College, Assam. Her hobbies are shopping, cooking, dancing, traveling, and singing. Also, she is an avid animal lover and loves flowers. Her father, Ashok Kumar Bishaya, is a film director. Her mother’s name is Happy Moni Bishaya. She has a brother named Ankur Bishaya. Her first husband, Avinash Saikia, died on July 25, 2016. Later, she married Bhaskar Boruah on February 22, 2021. She has a son named Ebu. She has been living in Guwahati, Assam.

Barsha Rani Bishaya made a broader career in acting and appeared in several super hit VCD films, short films, and telefilms. Also, she has featured in many television series. Besides, she also hosted many television shows. In 1998, she made her acting debut with the film “Joubone Aamoni Kore,” directed & produced by Ashok Kumar Bishaya. Since then, she has been actively pursuing her acting career. She is also a famous theatre personality and part of the Mobile theatre groups of Assam.

From 2013 to 2021, Barsha Rani Bishaya received the Prag Cine Awards for the films such as Me & My Sister (2013), Khel-The Game (2016), and Ratnakar (2021) for the Best Actor Female.
