Tania Tarannam is a professional vocalist from Guwahati, Assam. The singer-songwriter began singing at the age of three, and under Bhatkhande Sangeet Vidyapith, received professional training in Hindustani traditional vocal music. Later, in 2006, she received her music degree from Kanakali Sangeet Mahavidyalaya. Tania has contributed vocals to several Assamese albums, notably Rangdhali Suwalir Mon, which earned a great deal of praise from listeners. Additionally, she contributed vocals to the Sufi CD Sufi Kalaam. When Tania was in school, she won prizes in various singing events. Tania most recently won the gold medal in the western singing category of the Guwahati University Youth Festival.

Tania enjoys singing in Arabic, English, Spanish, Bengali, and Thai in addition to Assamese and Hindi. When singing in any language, she places a great deal of emphasis on phonetics.
