- There are some minor faults
Malaysia to Amnesia is a comedy film scripted and directed by Radha Mohan. Vaibhav Reddy, Vani Bhojan, “Karunakaran,” M. S. Bhaskar, Riya Suman, “Sachu,” “Mayilsamy” and Baby Vedika are in the cast. Premgi Amaren composed the music. Mahesh Muthusamy cranked the camera. KL Praveen edited the film. Monkey Man Company produced the film. The film got released on Zee5.
Arunkumar is a businessman who is married to Sujatha, and they have a girl child. Arun has an extramarital affair with Bhavana in Bangalore. He lies to Sujatha that he has a business meeting in Malaysia and goes to Bangalore. At the same time, the Malaysian flight has gone missing, and Sujatha is upset. Arun, with the help of his friend, Prabhu, manages the situation. But, his illegal relationship with Bhavana comes out, and the rest of the story deals with how Arun tackles all the issues.
Vaibhav fit well in the role. While playing the amnesia patient, he makes the audience enjoy his performance. Vani Bhojan is perfect in her role. She has a couple of emotional scenes, and she nailed it. Karunakaran is quite decent with his performance. MS Bhaskar is the one who steals the show. His performance is outstanding and impresses the audience. In fact, he has got a role that’s equal to the hero.
Radha Mohan is popular for his sentimental movies with a comedy touch. We have already seen it in “Mozhi,” Kaatrin Mozhi, AbhiyumNaanum, and some more films. After a long, he made the audience enjoy a comedy tour with Malaysia to Amnesia. Although we have seen the same kind of films from Sathileelavathi days, this one is a bit different, and its screenplay is good. The stars are perfectly picked and placed in the right roles. Vani Bhojan is the right choice, and she has a huge fan base from her TV series, “Deivamagal.” The music by Premgi and cinematography by Mahesh are worth mentioning.
What’s Not There?
Malaysia to Amnesia is a good comedy entertainer with decent performances and screenplay. It is watchable once for sure!
