ORE AST REW
- Deepam Kohli
- Sameer Deshpande
- Prerana Agarwal
- The performances are laudable
- No commercial elements and unnecessary heroics
- A very few minor errors
Sold is scripted and directed by Prerna Agarwal. The film has Deepam Kohli, Kavya Shetty, and Danish Sait in the lead roles. “Shivani R Bala,” Hanumante Gowda, Bhavani Prakash, Kali Prasad, Siddharth Madhyamika, and Bharath GB are seen in supporting roles. Deepam Kohli produced the film. Jeet Singh composed the music. Sameer Deshpande cranked the camera.
A gang led by Raghu, son of Lalaji, a biggie, is involved in human trafficking. Sheikh deals with Raghu, and their next target is Rashmi, a ten-year-old. Rashmi is abducted, and at the same time, a journalist, Ruchita, analyzes human trafficking. was she successful in finding the criminals? Who follows this case, and will they save the little Rashmi? The rest of the story deals with this.
Kavya Shetty did her best as a journalist. Shivani, the child artist, emoted well and fit in the role perfectly. Danish Sait, Deepam Kohli, and other actors have done what was required.
Prerana makes her debut as a director with Sold. She has taken a sensitive subject and filmed it perfectly. Kavya and Shivani are definitely the right choices. Unlike the commercial films that were dealt with this topic, this movie is exciting and natural. Unnecessary stuff is not added, and no heroics are inserted. The BGM and cinematography are okayish. In the medium budget, the team has brought what they could.
What’s Not There?
The team has worked hard to bring out a good film within the planned budget. Their efforts didn’t end up in vain. The film is watchable once with an impressive set of stars and good execution!
