Manisha Thakkar is a Gujarati theatre artist who came into the world of Hindi TV serials as Sunaina Thakkar in Saas Bina Sasural. It was a comic role and her performance was highly appreciated by the viewers as well as critics. The serial was produced by Optimystics and had good TRP with instant success. The success of this serial among Hindi viewers helped her get another role in SAB TV comedy serial Papadpol in which she performed the role of Bijali. She also acted as Aditi in Krishnaben Khakrawala for SAB TV and as Jassi in Preeto for NDTV. She also worked as anchor in R.K. Laxman ki Duniya. She originally started her career with commercial ads for some products which finally helped her move over to Gujarati serials.

Manisha is presently acting in SAB TV popular serial Baalvir a suerhero child fantasy where she is acting as Bhatakti Pari, who possesses the power of creating illusions. With the powers in her possession, she can make a person going towards right to turn back towards left and a person walking straight may start walking backwards due to her illusions. Manisha herself is a Reiki healer and has a strong faith in existence of fairies. In one of her statements, she has confessed that she strongly believes in fairies and angels, positive aura and negative effects emanating from these super natural powers.

She has worked in R.K. Laxman ki Duniya where she plays the role of Shali, who has come from the U.S. And celebrates Diwali festival with the family of Bhavesh (the hero, Aam Admi) to her fullest contentment.
