From the very beginning, we see the lives of two middle-class households and how they deal with their financial and emotional problems. Is love ever enough to sustain a long and happy married life? 

Our first story deals just with that. Zaid lives with his mother, son and wife. Zaid and his wife Fizza were college sweethearts and had married against all odds since Fizza’s wealthy father never agreed to their elopement. Fizza took a bold step and married Zaid, in spite of her father’s disagreement. Now, even though she came from a rich family, the idea of living in a middle-class home never discouraged her. She was vehemently in love with Zaid and a few adjustments are nothing when it comes to the feeling of love. Little did she know that she was coming from a life of comfort and entering a life of uncertainty, absorbed by financial crisis. Zaid works in a corporate company and Fizza is a teacher. With the amount of salary they receive, the money is just enough to pay their son’s fees and general expenses.

Fizza misses the life of luxury, while Zaid tries too hard to give her all that, but the effort goes in vain.The show presents the message that to love is to become a willing victim- to stay with your partner even if you both don’t understand each other sometimes. The second household is that of Salim’s. He lives with his wife Amna and his son. Even though Salim abuses Amna daily, Amna cares for him relentlessly. But haven’t we all seen such relationships? where the husband is completely insane, while the while happily suffers and sticks with him. Salim is a factory worker and creates disasters everywhere, due to his bad temperament. He eventually gets lung cancer and the responsibility for getting the money for his treatment falls upon Amna. 

How does both the couple solve their money issues? Do they remain in love? Do they love each other, or themselves? The rest of the story deals with that.
