Shehr-E-Malal is a Pakistani family drama TV serial that aired on Express Entertainment. This story shows how people are affected by their past and relationships. Umer Hasan and Tabinda once used to be a part of each other’s life. But because of a misunderstanding they had to part ways. After separating they start their individual lives. Umer marries the daughter of a businessman while Tabinda handles the business of her disabled husband. They both meet again after years when Tabinda goes to visit Umer’s house for the proposal of her step son. Her step son Shazir is madly in love with Umer’s daughter Rameen and they want to get married. Upon finding out that he is Tabinda’s son Umer rejects the proposal. Hearing this his daughter Rameen tries to attempt suicide.
Tabinda sees this as an opportunity to defame Umer and circulates this news to the media. Because of this Umer begs Tabinda to let Rameen marry Shazir. Tabinda decides to create problems for Rameen after marriage and she allows for it to happen.
