The story revolves around Heer, Jamal, and Shahmir, entangled in a crazy web of fate and love. Heer (Iqra Aziz) is the only daughter of a wealthy family. She is a girl who idealizes her father more than anything. Her father struggled a lot before becoming what he is at present. So, she had always wanted to marry a guy just like her father. Jamal (Bilal Abbas Khan) is Heer’s fellow student, who is hard-working but poor. Heer saw his father’s qualities in him and instantly fell in love with him. He hesitated due to her status but later agreed to pursue their relationship wholeheartedly.

Unbeknownst to them, she was already engaged to Shahmir (Shehzad Sheikh) in childhood. So, when Jamal went to ask for her hand in marriage, her father refused. Distraught by this sudden revelation, she asked her father to break off the engagement. Now, Shahmir was the grandson of a woman who lived in a village. She supported Heer’s father when his family died in a storm. Hence, it became impossible to cancel the engagement because it is taboo for village people. Furious, Heer married Jamal secretly and decided to elope with him. However, Jamal wanted to convince her father again, this time with a marriage certificate. But fate had something else in store for both of them. Shahmir’s elder brother kidnapped Heer and demanded she respect her future in-laws. Jamal was unaware of this and went to Heer’s home to look for her.

Her father got him arrested and brutally beaten by the police before releasing him. After this, he met with an accident and lost his memory temporarily. On the other hand, Heer was unaware of anything and thought that Jamal run away. However, she also revealed her secret marriage to her mother, who did not believe her. Eventually, she had to marry Shahmir and got stuck in double Nikkah. Later, the new couple became ‘just friends’ when she learned that Shahmir had a girlfriend. Learning about Shahmir’s marriage, his girlfriend broke up with him. Then, he tries to make it work with Heer, who is adamant about finding Jamal and getting a divorce. Finally, they meet again, but Shahmir’s elder brother shoots them. Jamal died on the spot, but Heer was injured. Shahmir saw his brother and tried to save them, but it was too late for Jamal.

However, Heer saw Shahmir and thought that he killed Jamal. Shahmir readily took the blame for his brother. Later on, the truth revealed itself. Ashamed, his brother shot himself. Heer went to live with Jamal’s mother in his village. After some time, the mother called Shahmir to marry Heer and give her blessings to them. The newly married couple then leaves to start afresh. Qurban was a high-voltage romantic drama that tugged at the heartstrings of its viewers in a novel way.
