The story revolves around Saniya. She is the protagonist of the story. Saniya lived with her mother, Tabassum. Her father passed away when she was very young. It was difficult for Tabassum to live the life of a single mother and take care of Saniya all alone. Saniya was born in difficult circumstances. She was bound to live a life filled with hardships and difficulties from a young age. Things were getting difficult for her widowed mother as there were financial constraints. This made Saniya realize that she had to forge her path in life, by overcoming all the challenges.

Tabussum meets Mr. Malik. They fall in love and decide to marry each other. But when they get married, Tabussum decides to start a new life without her daughter. She decides to leave her daughter with her uncle. This breaks Saniya’s heart, but there is nothing she can do. Saniya’s uncle, however, agrees to raise her. He raises her like her own daughter. Mr. Malik would also send her a fixed amount of money every month. Saniya’s mother never prioritized her. Saniya had to endure hardship in the face of abuse and exploitation from her own family. Tabassum and Mr. Malik have a daughter, Maya. 

Mr. Malik fixed Maya’s marriage with a man, Hassam. Maya did not want to marry Hassm because she had a boyfriend with whom she had dreamed about her life. To escape her father’s decision, Maya runs away with her boyfriend and abandons her fiance on the night of the marriage. To keep their status and respect in society, Tabassum and Malik make a big decision. They decide to marry off Saniya to Hassam. Saniya is forced into this marriage under the pretext that her parents will be proud of her. Saniya takes on the role of a replacement bride to preserve her stepfather's reputation.

Saniya bravely accepts her parent's decision. Although Saniya was rejected by her parents, she has selflessness and a sense of duty towards her family. She has huge responsibilities placed upon her after this marriage of convenience with Hassam. After her marriage, her in-laws hate her. She is subjected to injustice and mistreatment. Her in-laws dislike her and want her out of the house. The program shows the journey of Saniya's hardships, showing her as a person who defies negativity despite being put to the test by fate regularly.
