The mysterious drama foretells us about a family of landlords in Pakistan. The setting of the serial is dual in its role as one family is in a village, and the other one is in Karachi, the city. Shehryal, played by Mawra Hocane, the protagonist of the story, is a doctor who is also very sympathetic towards the people of her grandparent’s village; she used to go there from time to time and is engaged to her cousin Duraab, the snob of the family.

Shehryal had two brothers, and both of them loved her so much. Duraab was the spoilt son of Malik; the whole family engaged in lots of malicious activities like killing and robbery. Sikandar, son of Malik’s sister, was the real owner of the legacy of their forefathers, but they treated him as a driver. Sikandar liked Shehryal, and in the end, they also ended up together. In the whole course of the drama, Duraab had done every kind of evil to the villagers. Duraab and Shehryal married after all but then divorced. Because of his habits, we find him dead at the end of the story. And Shehryal finally discovered her freedom in the face of her family. In the end, Maaji started living with Sikandar because she wanted to give him back his childhood and his position as the owner of the town. This serial highlights many bad points of our society, like robbery, murder, physical violence, taking up the orphan’s property, the patriarchal mindset that abuses and violates the rights of the other gender.
