The series starts with a young woman named Maham. She is a student in a fashion design college. She is talented and wants to be a successful fashion designer. Maham’s parents passed away when she was a child. After the tragedy, her maternal uncle, Massharaf, took her in.

Her uncle has three children, Shoib, Farih, and Mahib. Maham’s uncle’s first wife died when Mahib was just 5 years old. Mahib’s uncle marries Zahreen, who gives birth to Farih and Shoib. Zahreen is an evil lady. She hates Maham and Maqib as they are not her blood. Maqib and Maham are very close to each other. They find solace in their shared tragedy of being orphans. Zahreen mistreats both of them. She takes all the salary that Maqib earns and keeps it for herself. Farih is in love with Asif who is Farih’s friend’s cousin. Asif is not serious about her, but Farih wants to marry him.

Mahab and her grandmother are close and share everything. Mahab is disappointed in her destiny as it does not treat her well. Her aunt mocks and taunts both her and Maqib which she does not like. Maqib loves Mahab but does not express it. Shoib pretends to care for Maham because she gives him money. Zahreen wants Mahab to get married soon so she can leave the house. Mahab’s grandmother postpones her marriage because she wants to study further. But she falls sick and wants to see Maham married before she dies. Maham hesitates to marry, but she gives in to her grandmother’s wishes.
