Mann Ke Dhagay is a Pakistani serial premiered in 2018 on A PLUS. It is an Urdu-language drama serial that focuses on the lives of people from distinct family backgrounds. However, both families have inner family problems that create an unpleasant atmosphere at home. The serial begins with the introduction to Umar’s family. Umar is married to Fariyal, and has two daughters named Irsa and Iraj. Umar is a dominant husband who keep his wife under command. Fariyal is a beautiful young woman who is suppressed by Umar’s rigid behavior. Fariyal is a homemaker and attempts to keep everyone happy and content; however, she often neglects her peace. Mann Ke Dhagay showcases the situation at Fariyal’s home as she feels unloved and taken for granted by her husband.

The serial also features Shehbaz’s family. Shehbaz is the youngest in the family. He is a successful lawyer and lives with his mother in a joint family. Shehbaz’s family includes his mother, who’s the head of the house—a widowed sister-in-law and the eldest sibling, eldest sister-in-law, and his niece. Shehbaz belongs to a wealthy family and is a hard-working individual. The first episode showcases Shehbaz being tense because of a high-profile case hearing. Shehbaz’s family is filled with drama as his mother finds herself in a tusk with the eldest daughter-in-law of the family. Rubab, is the eldest and thus, believes that nobody has the right to snatch away the house’s generational wealth from her.

However, the widowed daughter-in-law becomes the head’s favorite and accidentally gets the charge of the keys to the locker of the house. Rubab gets envious and taunts the widow; however, Shehbaz’s mother comes to bail her out. Rubab is a cunning woman and aims to rule over the family members. In another situation, Irsa gets invited to a party by a friend hosted to celebrate Shehbaz’s victory in the case hearing. Fariyal gets disheartened when Umar asks her friend to leave their house.
