The plot of Laut Ke Chalay Aana follows the story of a married couple, Zainab and Farhan. They began as any other married couple would, with love, respect, and a happy home. But as time goes by, the individuals involved in a marriage often get busy with their businesses. Zainab and Farhan have two beautiful daughters and Farhan’s business is blooming: things seem virtually perfect for the couple, but, Zainab focuses all her time on being a good mother to her daughters, leaving little to no time for her husband. Farhan, therefore, is get detached from his wife, and consequently, his children.

Things change when Farhan meets a vibrant and beautiful young girl named Abeera. She brings light to Farhan’s life, and they both start liking each other. After spending a considerable amount of time with each other, he proposes to Abeera, and, even though her sister warns her against it, she accepts. On the day of his daughter’s wedding, he announces to the family that he is going to marry Abeera. His entire family is very disappointed in him, and Zainab decides to separate. Farhan and Abeera lead a happy life and she gets pregnant with his child, but one day, she gets very sick and finds out that she has a brain tumor.

She is devastated and asks her sister not to tell Farhan or his family anything. She creates distance between herself and Farhan and instigates fights between them for trivial reasons. Just as the family starts to come together and celebrate Zainab and Farhan’s grandchild, Abeera gives birth to a baby girl and dies shortly after. The show ends on an emotional note and we see Zainab and Farhan raising Abeera’s daughter as their own and naming them after her mother. Twenty-one years later, on Abeera’s birthday, the family gifts her a video that her mother made for her when she gave birth to her. She finds out about the truth of her birth, and the family just gets closer to each other.
