, Parveen Akber, and Shama Zaidi. Kaafir is the story of Izzat, played by Ayesha Khan, an outspoken woman, and Shahan, played by Humayun Saeed, a powerful channel head. Shahan considers himself God and is an atheist or Kaafir. An incident led Izzat to humiliate Shahan, which angered Shahan, and he became determined to take an act of revenge on her.
In the rage of his revenge, Shahan proved Izzat to be a characterless woman in front of Azaan, Izzat's love interest and Shahan's brother. Shahan easily manipulated Azaan, and in the spirit of taking his brother's revenge, Azaan sexually assaulted Izzat. The story changes drastically after Mehvish, Izzat's mother, leaves the world for her heavenly abode. The twenty-second and last episode premiered on 28 May 2011. The fresh episodes premiered every Saturday.
