. The main plot of Janam Jali revolves around the character "Bayjee", who believes that it is her right to mistreat her two daughters-in-law because she was mistreated by her mother-in-law when she was a newly wedded daughter-in-law herself.
Bayjee's younger son, Asad, is married to Saima. Bayjee hates Saima as she has only been giving birth to daughters. Baylee has a sister, and she wants Asad to marry her daughter Shaista. The opening theme is sung by Shehroze Sabzwari. The television series had two seasons with a total of 33 episodes. The first episode of the television series was released on 7 November 2016, and aired till 2 January 2017.
