The main plot of the drama revolves around a wealthy businessman, Aziz Ahmed, and his family. Aziz Ahmed is married to Shehla and has two children, Junaid and Laila. Laila is unrealistically beautiful and wants to become a model.

Wajahat helps Laila in becoming a model because he wants to eventually marry her and get ahold of her father's wealth. Junaid falls in love with the daughter of a housemaid, and so begins the main twist of the story. The drama aired every Monday to Thursday at 7:30 PM. Dil Ka Darwaza is a Pakistani serial premiered in 2004 on HUM TV. The serial focuses on the life of Laila, a young, beautiful, and intelligent girl who aspires to be an International model. Laila is the only child of Aziz and Shaila. However, more than Shaila, Laila is close to Halima, her female servant. Shaila has grown in Halima’s lap and played with her daughter, Momina. Shaila is overprotective of Laila and scolds Halima to not be around her. The story moves forward when Wajad (Laila’s cousin) learns about the betrayal his grandmother went through because of Shaila’s mother. Wajah’s grandmother was deprived of her generational wealth. Thus, the generational wealth in Wajah’s mom’s right was given to Shaila. Wajah decided to make Shaila repay the misfortune passed on to his mother. Thus, Wajah begins to get close to Laila.

Dil Ka Darwaza is an Urdu-language drama serial. It also features the story of Hina and Shehbaz. Hina loves Shehbaz (her cousin), and his mom knows about it. However, neither Hina nor Shehbaz’s mother expresses the desire of Hina to get married to Shehbaz. On the other hand, Shehbaz crosses paths with Wajad.
