She is a writer >> Read More... , produced by Afreen Baig, and directed by Muhammad Javed Fazil. The serial was released back in 2002 and had only one season with a total of 13 episodes. The serial revolves around significant south Asian culture, and issues involving family, polygamy and motherhood. The serial starts off by introducing a woman named Bee Jan. Bee Jan is depicted as a strict woman who follows a strict set of rules and regulations and has firm belief on and about culture and moral values, which she expects the others in the family to follow as well. She is the matriarch of the family. Bee Jan has two sons.

The older is named Aamir, and the younger is known as Aasim. Aamir is described as a kind man who follows the word of his mother and is married to a woman named Abginey. Aasim is depicted as the kind but rogue son who lives life by his own choice. Aasim is also depicted as a bachelor. Abginey is a kind, gentle-hearted woman who cares about the whole family and is a loving wife. However, the only reason she is always mistreated is that she’s infertile and can’t bear a child to continue the family lineage. As Abginey cannot bear a child, Bee Jan decides to arrange a second marriage for her son Aamir. This profoundly hurts Abginey, but she can do nothing but accept it with silence.

Aamir is too scared to say anything against his mother and, as a result can’t say anything in support of his wife even though he wants to. He agrees for the marriage somewhat reluctantly, and as a result, gets married to a woman named Maha. Maha is portrayed as a young, beautiful woman who is independent but rude. She has a lousy personality and does everything whichever way she wants to. She does not follow the rules set by Bee Jan, and has no respect for her. This infuriates Bee Jan as Maha has no morals, and is not suitable for the household at all. However, Maha can bear children, which she does and all the anger and disappointment vanishes from the family as soon as Maha gets pregnant with Aamir’s child and Bee Jan forgives her for the time being. On the other hand, Abginey’s position in the family continues to fall as she still remains childless.

Maha sees this as an excellent opportunity to make her life even more painful and treats her as filth in the family. When Abginey’s family comprising of her parents and sister return from London to pay her a visit they learn of the recent circumstances. It greatly angers and disappoints them when they learn of Aamir’s new marriage and how Abginey has been treated in her in-laws. They try to console Abginey and decide to take her back to London with them. However, Abginey refuses and decides to stay as the faithful wife she is even though her own family adviced her otherwise. Meanwhile, in the family, Maha tries to manipulate Aamir’s younger brother Aasim to marry her own cousin named Iraj. She shares the idea with Bee Jan and Aamir, who agree to go forth with the proposal. However, Aasim refuses to do anything with the proposal and declares his love for Zarmeeny, who is Abginey’s sister. Bee Jan has nothing against his proclaimed love, but she is afraid that Zarmeeny might turn out to be infertile like her sister Abginey and that’s the main reason why she interferes.

She tries to advice Aasim against Zarmeeny but Aasim refuses to listen. When the family reluctantly agree, Aasim and Zarmeeny get married and after several problems in their marriage, they turn out to be quite a happy couple proving everyone wrong. A minor subplot also reveals how Maha was previously married to another man and secretly had a son from that marriage. Gradually, with time the whole family finds their happiness and slowly returns to its former glory.
