Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar, popularly known as K Rehman, is a Pakistani director, lyricist, writer, and Urdu poet who has made his place in the industry with his magnificent works. He excelled in writing since his school days; the nurtured skill has become one of his professions later. He completed his degree in B.Com. and MBA from the College of Lahore. After completing his Master's degree, he kicked off his career by working for the National Bank of Pakistan, but his heart always wanted to follow his passion.
Thus, he voluntarily retired from his job in the bank to pursue a career in writing. He started by appearing in the TV drama, Dastak Aur Darwaza. He still continues to appear occasionally in TV dramas. Some of them include Dil Hai Ke Diya Hai, Chand PurKaChandoo, Boota from Toba Tek Singh, Dilli Ke Bankay, and so on. He has directed, acted in, and produced some of them.
He wrote dialogues for movies such as Tere Piyar Mein, Nikki Jai Haan, Mukhra Chan Varga, Boota from Toba Tek Singh, etc., and made his breakthrough as a writer. He later incorporated filmy-style dialogues into his dramas, which grabbed attention.
Qamar is married to RubiNaz and Rozina Qureshi. Aabi Khan, Qureshi's son with Rozina, is an actor.
