Kashi Majililu is a Telugu series. SaReGaMa produced the series. It was telecast on Gemini TV. It is a devotional series. The series has various stories, some of which are interlinked.

Viswanatham, a great scholar, is a Siva devotee. He longs to go on a pilgrimage to Kasi. One of his well-wishers suggests an alliance for marriage; Viswanatham politely denies his suggestion and tells him that his current plan is to visit Kasi. His uncle tells him that he is too young to visit Kasi. Viswanatham tells him that his ancestors appeared before him and suggested him visit Kasi and Gaya to remove their family’s sins. After his revelation, his uncle suggests him a date to visit Kasi. Viswanatham helps an orphan kid. Attracted by Viswanatham’s gesture and his knowledge of Puranas, the kid joins him. They both start their pilgrimage to Kasi. The difficulties he faces in reaching Kasi are shown in this story.

Lalitha is the only daughter of her parents, and they want to get her married to Gopal. Gopal is Lalitha’s maternal uncle’s son. But Lalitha is in love with Siva. Siva, who was out of town, returns back and meets her at night. On his way back home, he meets a mysterious woman. In Siva’s vision, she looks like Lalitha and he moves forward and touches her. As she has supernatural powers, she throws him away. As Siva touches her, she becomes half a statue. Meanwhile, Siva is burnt. The next morning, Siva’s father searches for him and visits Lalitha’s house. After she informs, they all start searching for him, only to find him in ashes. Why was he burnt into ashes? Who cursed him? What will happen to Lalitha forms the rest of the story.

All the stories in this series discuss the ancient stories, the traditions followed, and the values of life.
