The dialogues and screenplay are by Dongari Mahender and edited by M. S. Sudharshan Rao. Thungella Ravi is the executive manager, and Dantu Venkata Hanuman is the cameraman for the Amma serial. The co-director for Amma serial is Seetha Durga Rao, and Thangella Shiva, Jaya Chandra and Pushpagiri are also in the direction department. R. P. Patnaik gave the theme music for the Amma serial. The serial premiered on 10 February 2020 and telecast on every Monday to Saturday at 7 pm. Amma's story revolves around the mother's love and sacrifice.

The central character is Kasturi, and she is a mother and housewife. Kasturi's family is a middle-class family and she wants to see her children in a good position. Kasturi provides all the things which her children wish to. Kasturi has two daughters Amulya, Avani, and two sons Arvind, Anand. Arvind is the elder son, and Avani is the elder daughter for Kasturi and Surya Narayana. Surya Narayana retired from his job, so there is no source of income in their family. Kasturi works hard to satisfy her children's needs.

Avani starts working in a shopping mall as a salesgirl to buy a saree for her mother secretly. Kasturi sees Avani as a salesgirl and feels sad about her, Avani apologizes to her mother. Amulya wants to become rich and loves a rich guy in her college. Bhanu is the daughter of rich women, Chandana, and she loves Arvind. Bhanu comes to Kasturi's house very often and she loves Kasturi and her family. Bhanu buys gifts for Kasturi with her pocket money, but Kasturi rejects politely. Kasturi tells Bhanu to give those gifts for her Mother Chandana instead of her. Bhanu approach Arvind and reveals she is in love but do not know how to express, so Arvind teaches her how to propose. Arvind wants to go abroad for higher studies. So, Kasturi gives him all the money she saves for many days. Arvind got arrested by police and go to jail without any reason. Kasturi fights for her son and consults judges and authority to tell them her son is a good guy. Amulya blames her mother for her blind faith in her elder son Arvind and giving all the money.
