Sabash Sariyana Potti is a Tamil language TV show that airs on the channel Thanthi TV, a 24-7 Tamil news channel. It is an electoral interactive programme, in which candidates belonging to different parties are set up for a debate. The anchor first introduces the people who are being called for the meeting and the purpose of it, meaning the topic of the debate. The show runs during election times, in between campaigning.
The candidates are asked to spend a few minutes of their time for a peaceful interaction with those of the opposite party or parties. The interaction occurs on a video call with a number of candidates varying from two to six. They take about their ideas for improving the condition of the Tamil Nadu state and its citizens, their views on the other person and their party, current issues that need to be addressed by the ruling party, among others.
