Lolluppa is an Indian comedy reality television show in Tamil. Comedy reality television show is a subgenre of reality shows in that it has the same format and everything. The slight difference is that in comedy reality shows, the context is limited to only comedic performance. So, the participants aren’t allowed to perform anything else other than comedy sketched and stand-up acts. Lolluppa also works in the same way. The show invites funny people or people who have the potential to be funny from around the Tamil speaking regions. From all the people, only a certain number of individuals get selected for the actual competition. These selected individuals are then groomed by professional comedians who have been working in this field for quite a long time. These participants then prepare a whole performance and then do it in front of a panel of judges who score them accordingly.

The participant, who has the highest score by the end of the show, wins the show and takes home the prize. There are two judges on the show who collectively score the participant.
