Velan works in the Zameen family and is very affectionate to Visalakshi, the family's matriarch. She, too, loves him as her son. Valli works in the Zameen and is in love with Velan. Raghav is the son of Visalakshi, who is soft-spoken and respects his mother much. Singaperumal is the elder brother of Visalakshi, who doesn't like Velan and his sister's affection towards him. The situation changed, and people who hated Velan started respecting him. As a twist, Singaperumal's daughter Nanditha is engaged to Velan. Valli is heartbroken with this engagement but stays calm and truthful to Visalakshi. On the day of engagement, Velan expects Raghav to be present. Visalakshi tries to compromise him. But Velan wants his wedding engagement to be held in Raghav's presence, as he has only Visalaskhi and Raghav by his side. Why does Raghav hesitate to attend the event?
