Punnagai Poove is a serial that started airing on Sun TV on 6th May 2024. Ayyan Movie Makers produced the serial. Rajprabhu and Vijayakumar scripted the story, and Shiva directed it. Nagu cranked the camera.
Kalaivani is an honest and bold girl who loves and respects everyone. She dreams of meeting her childhood sweetheart, Anbuchezhiyan. Kalaivani’s father and Chezhiyan’s father, Subramani, are friends. When they were children, both of their parents fixed their marriage. Subramani’s financial status improved, and he became a rich businessman. When Kalaivani’s father tried to meet Subramani regarding their children’s marriage, he was insulted at Subramani’s home. To make them understand her love and prove to them that the relationship is greater than money, Kalaivani joins Chezhiyan’s house as a maid, Gayathri. When Chezhiyan’s mother, Aadhishankari, doubts Kalaivani, she promises that she will not marry Chezhiyan. Chezhiyan’s marriage is fixed with another girl. However, Chezhiyan ties a knot with Kalaivani in a strange situation. How will she manage? Will she hide her marriage with Chezhiyan? Will Adhishankari accept Kalaivani as her daughter-in-law? The rest of the story follows this.
