Buddha Jathagam was a TV serial aired on Doordarshan. Buddha Jathagam is a compilation of two important stories from the Jataka tales, namely Vidhura Jataka and Ummakka Jataka. A high production cost combined with many special effects, Buddha Jathagam combined both techniques of live action and virtual reality and presented it beautifully. Jataka tales tells about the stories of the previous births of the Buddha, in both human and animal form.
