Aayiram Jenmangal is a Tamil TV show premiered on Polimer TV. Sai Maruthu is the director of the show. The show has many similarities with the 1978 horror Tamil film. Both the serial and the movie contain horrific storylines and supernatural tropes. The story of the show revolves around the life of Savitri. It depicts the transformation of Savitri because of the influence of a spirit. Ramesh starts noticing a change in Savitri’s behavior. He tries to find out the reason behind her behavior change. As the story unfolds, it is revealed that everyone knows that Savitri is possessed by a woman. The spirit has a backstory of a tragic tale. She wants to fulfil her desire of love. To complete her desire, the spirit uses Savitri’s body. The spirit thinks her wish will only be fulfilled when she meets Ravi. This makes the show horrific for the audience. Further in the show, Ramesh learns that Radha wants to have relationship with Ravi on the day of Amavasya. It makes the show suspenseful. It portrays the love struggle between the supernatural energy and the living creature.
