Podu is a 2020 Sri Lankan action romantic teledrama that aired on TV Derana. The series is directed by Sharmila Dharmarasa Fonseka. Just like the first season, the second season is a mixture of romance, drama, and thrill! The second season titled Podu 2 was launched on 29 January 2022. Season two is centered around the story of Primal Weerarathna's university life and his love triangle with Dushee and Priya. Primal comes from an underprivileged background with a low-income family, so he speaks on behalf of the poor. Eventually, he starts a relationship with Priya and they both develop feelings for each other.
Unaware of their relationship, Dushee, who is the daughter of the politician Mahasen Gunarathna, falls head over heels for Primal. Primal, being in love with Priya, has to reject Dushee. He rejects her due to her family status and caste. Meanwhile, Primal meets Adi at the university and they become best friends. What happens to the love- triangle? Will one of them get their feelings hurt? Does Primal compromise and settle with someone he doesn't want to be with? The rest of the story deals with that.
