The story starts with Radhakant. He is a Maths teacher in school. Radhakant is well-known among his students, colleagues, and neighbors as a kind-hearted man. He is unmarried and has no living family. Radhakant has never experienced bonds of family or relationships. He lives an alone and secluded life in his big ancestral home. His home is the talk of the town. One day, he comes across an abandoned baby on the road. He decides to adopt that girl and names her Pooja. Pooja also grows around a boy, Ajay, her best friend. He is passionate about singing and Pooja is always encouraging him. Ajay loves Pooja but does not express it. As the years go by, the father-and-daughter relationship becomes stronger. Pooja and Ajay's bond gets secure as well. Radhakant loves his Pooja like her own daughter. He experiences the love of a family. Radhakant decides to adopt more people in his life no matter their ages.

His big house now hosts a big and loving family. Pooja loves her father Radhakant and wants to make him proud. She is an obedient and bubbly girl who cherishes a great relationship with her father. Pooja is good in her studies and always scores adequately in school and college. When Pooja is in his twenties, Radhakant suffers a massive heart attack. He had a narrow escape from death. Radhakant becomes almost bedridden after this incident. His doctors advise him a heart operation that will improve his situation. The heart operation requires a large amount of money. No one in the family has that kind of money. In a desperate attempt to save her father, Pooja decides to mortgage the house for quick cash. She does not disclose this to anyone. Finally, Radhakant has an operation that improves his health.

However, the lender who lent Pooja money in exchange for her house scammed her. The lender asks Pooja to pay 10 times more money than the actual cost to get back the house. She is trapped in this scam and finds no way out. Then comes a strange lady who makes her an offer at the cost of her future. She asks her to marry his son in exchange for the house. Having no other choice she decides to marry an unknown man. The story then shows a love story brewing between Pooja and her husband with Ajay trying to win her back.
