Parvati is a village beauty who is a loyal devotee of Maa Kaali. She has firm faith in Maa Kaali and believes that she always has a plan for her. Parvati seeks a profound connection with her Goddess. She has some divine power within her that one knows about. Parvati guides her life with a sense of devotion. She has gratitude and humility and believes that kind acts, prayers, and rituals will bring her closer to God. She tries to align her principles according to the teachings of Maa Kaali.

Shiv Prasad is a doctor. He is also an atheist and believes in science. Shiv Prasad considers science and religion to be opposite to each other. He assumes religious people to be superstitious. Shiv Prasad questions the existence of God because as a doctor, he has seen people with many diseases suffering and dying. If God were to exist then he would not have made people suffer.

This story is about Shiv Prasad and Parvati crossing each other’s paths. They befriend each other and later fall in love. Since they have opposing ideologies, they clash many times. Challenges arise when due to some events taking place they try to impose their beliefs on each other. Shiv Prasad hopes someday Parvati will realize that there is no God. On the other hand, Parvati trusts in God and knows that he will realize the presence of God one day. However, fate has brought them together for a different purpose.
