‘Ekach Hya Janmi Janu’ is a Marathi serial that focuses on a physically challenged girl named Anjali. Anjali is portrayed as a simple, independent, strong and intelligent woman throughout the serial. The only thing that causes a minor inconvenience in her life is her physical deformity of her leg which worries the parents of her future.
However, she doesn't let this get in her way to success and happy life. She always tries to live in the moment and enjoy everything that life offers her. She is set on a mission to find her love and when she finally meets a man named Shrikant, her hopes rise for the future. When they fall in love and get married, her parents are relieved and hope the best for her.
However, what happens when Shrikant’s past catches up with them and what if her dreams turn out not so pleasant? The serial has a lot of twists and turns where every episode holds an important detail of their lives.
