Chaahool is a horror show whose plot revolves around unrequited love that comes in the form of spirit. Nirmala and Sarjerao are childhood friends and Nirmala always harboured romantic feelings for Sarjerao. When they grow up, Nirmala is shocked to know that Sarjerao never loved her and always saw her as a friend. He plans to marry a foreigner girl named Jenny.
Nirmala dies of heartbreak but returns in the form of spirit for vengeance and torments Jenny. The impact of Nirmala’s love-and-loss-driven actions on the life of Sarjarao and Jenny forms the story.
