Assa Saasar Surekh Bai is a usual love drama that premiered on Colours Marathi on 25th July 2015. Defying all odds, Jui and Yash fall in love with each other. This drama emphasizes upon the unpredictable nature of love. In the opening episode, Yash, the protagonist, is seen to be enjoying a royal dream that he has become the king and everyone is following his orders. He refuses to wake up when his mother calls him and is then beaten with a broomstick. Then Yash falls off his bed and realizes that he is living in a fantasy.
Jui and Yash for the first time meet outside a temple. While giving alms to the beggar, Jui drops her wallet and Yash follows her to return it. Yash gets scolded by Mr. Imamdar as he is mistaken to be the contractor. He returns the wallet to the office and walks away. Owing to all this, Yash misses his interview. They again meet at the temple, where Jui decides to help Yash by arranging an interview.
