, who popularly appeared in Malayalam films in negative roles. Dr. Ram is inspired by the English TV series called Dr. House. Dr. Ram is an arrogant and egoistic doctor who is best at what he does. His temper causes an accident in which his wife suffers a miscarriage, and he hurts his leg pretty badly, which causes a limp from which he never recovers.
Dr. Ram is keen on solving medical puzzles. Every few episodes, they solve one medical case and are faced with another one soon. The puzzles may be making diagnoses in difficult cases, treating an unusual case, finding the cause and treatment for complications. He has a team he relies upon in assisting him in all the cases. He has a habit of popping painkillers to help subside the pain in his leg, due to which he and his diagnoses face a lot of criticism. The serial also has a drama aspect focusing on his personal life. The serial was quickly accepted by the Malayalam audience owing to the medical knowledge they receive from it.
