1. Sudha Murty
Sudha Murty is an entrepreneur, lecturer, and author, born on 19th August 1950 on Shiggaon, Haveri in Karnataka. She is the daughter of Dr. RH Kulkarni, a surgeon, and Vimala Kulkarni. She completed her engineering course in Electrical And Electronics Engineering from the BVB College of Engineering And Technology. She is a gold medalist and received it from Devaraj Urs, the then CM of Karnataka. After completing her Bachelor’s degree in EEE, she did her Master’s degree in Computer Science from the Indian Institute of Science. Again, she grabbed a gold medal for her excellence in academics and this time from the Indian Institute of Engineers. Sudha started her career as a development engineer in Tata Engineering and Locomotive Company in Pune. Later, she worked for the same company in Mumbai and Jamshedpur. It is interesting to know how she got this job. When she noticed a job call in the newspaper from TELCO, she was interested in applying for the job. But, she noticed it as a gender-biased call and immediately wrote a letter to the TELCO Chairman regarding this. Impressed by her approach, she was immediately called to attend the special interview, and she was offered the job. After TELCO, she joined Walchand Group as a Senior Systems Analyst. While working in TELCO, Sudha and NR Narayana Murthy got married, and the couple has two children, Akshata and Rohan Murty. Akshata is married to Rishi Sunak, who is the Chancellor of Exchequer in the UK.

Shankar Bidari was a highly decorated police officer in Karnataka who held the positions of Director General and Inspector General of Police in the state. He was born on 27th August 1954 in Galagali village of Bilagi Taluka in Bagalkot District, Karnataka. In 1982, he served as the SP in Mandya District when it was seriously afflicted by communal disturbances, agitations of farmers and laborers, caste conflicts, etc. His father was an agriculturalist. Shankar Bidari completed his education at Government Kannda Boy’s School, Banahatti. Later he joined G.I Bagewadi College, Nipani. He obtained his Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from Karnataka University in 1975 as an external candidate.

Srimurali is an Indian Actor showcasing his talent in Kannada films basically which is also an active part of the Indian Cinema. He made his debut in the year 2003 with his movie Chandra Chakori, which is a romance based drama film. He won the best actor award at the state level for his movie Kanti; the film focused on the dispute between two powerful states of India, Maharastra and Karnataka since then he has acted in over ten movies in Kannada language and has done one film each in Telugu and Malayalam language. His movie Ugramm is a Kannada movie in the year 2014 was a big hit and had received many praises from the audiences. It is a thriller movie. The movie successfully completed 100 days in the cinemas and then also it was re-released in some of the other theaters in Karnataka.

Nagavara Ramarao Narayana Murthy was born on August 20, 1946, in the Sidlaghatta kingdom of Mysore (currently known as Karnataka). Murthy is one of the few Indian billionaire businessmen and the co-founder of Infosys. Narayana Murthy completed his basic school education at the Sarada Vila Education Institute. He later completed his Bachelor of Engineering from the National Institute of Engineering, Mysore, and further completed his M.Tech. from the prestigious IIT Kanpur. N.R. Narayana Murthy’s family includes his wife, Sudha Murthy (Chairperson of Infosys Foundation). She is also an educationist, author, and philanthropist. Murthy has two kids: son Rohan Murthy and daughter Akshita Murthy. Akshita Murthy is married to the Prime Minister of the UK, Rishi Sunak.

Veerendra Heggade is an Indian Philanthropist born on November 25, 1948. He is the eldest son of Dharmadhikari Ratnaverma Heggade and Rathnamma Heggade. He heads the famed Dharmasthala temple in the Dakshina Kannada district of Karnataka. His father was elected to the Mysuru State Legislative Assembly in 1957. He transformed Dharmasthala into a modern pilgrimage center. Veerendra Heggade preferred social service to politics. Dharmasthala provides meals to over 30,000 devotees every day. He is the first head of a temple from Karnataka to be nominated to the Rajya Sabha. Veerendra is the 21st Pergade dynasty member to hold the Dharmadhikari position in Dharmasthala.

Pradyumna Narahalli is an Indian actor, RJ, director, producer, and writer. He was born on April 10, 1988, in Hasan, Karnataka. He graduated in mechanical engineering from the MS Ramya Institute of Technology, Bangalore. Narahalli was introduced to theater at an early age, and he had a great interest in and confidence to participate in annual day competitions. He started doing mimicry in college. In 2009, he led the cultural team at MSRIT and wanted the VTU cultural festival. He was also awarded the best outgoing student from the mechanical department.
