. In the show, Kunaal portrays the quintessential "side hero" in Bollywood films, always landing supporting roles but never the lead. After an ambitious passion project fails and costs Kunaal his family home, he moves in with his animal talent manager Beera. Kunaal finds comfort spending time with his ex-wife Sarika, who remains a close friend, and their young son Rumi. Sarika also has a new boyfriend named Ranjeet, who happens to be a fan of Kunaal's. The first season follows Kunaal as he tries and fails over and over again to achieve his dream of making it big in Bollywood as the greatest side hero of all time. Despite continuous disappointment, Kunaal persists in pursuing acting roles and coping with his unconventional living situation and complicated personal relationships.
