Season 2 - The second season of the popular reality show, Bigg Boss started on August 21, 2008 on Colors and ended on November 22, 2008, where housemates completed a total of 98 days. Prominent actress and model, replaced the Bigg Boss 1 host, . 14 selected housemates entered the house and were called as the ‘newsmakers’ instead of celebrities; but most of the contestants were connected in Bollywood or television channels and other reality shows. The Big Boss house in Season 2 is located at Lonavala in Mumbai. The housemates were locked out in one roof for 14 weeks with over 32 cameras around the house.

On the 2nd day of Season 2, the British guest, leaves the Bigg Boss house because she had revealed that she has cancer. Model and actress, entered the house on day 30 as the 15th contestant of the show. In the last week, the ratings of the show went up dramatically because of the voluntary exit made by renowned politician, .

Model turned actor and winner of 2007 MTV Hero Honda Roadies 5.0, was the declared winner of the Bigg Boss Season 2 while the television actor, Raha Chaudhary became a runner-up. Rahul Mahajan also won an Aveo UVA car for being the Bigg Boss’ Bada Dilwala. Rahul along with actress, made their comeback in the spin-off, Big Boss Halla Bol, and became the 3rd and 4th housemate to get evicted.

• Former starlet, of the Bollywood comedy film, Jodi No. 1

• Actress, of the 36 China Town fame.

• Former pilot, Rahul Mahajan who made a voluntary exit in Bigg Boss house during the last week of the show.

• Bhojpuri actor and a runner-up of Bigg Boss 2, Raja Choudhary.

• Television actress, of Hum Paanch fame.

• Actress, Sambhavna Seth who become popular in doing Bhojpuri films.

• Politician and Congress (I) Party, .

• Model turned actor, of Taj Mahal and Deshdrohi fame.

The Guest Celebrities who appeared in Bigg Boss Season 2:

• The twin-sisters, Sana and Alina. After Alina got evicted in the house, Sana was introduced to replace Alina and mimic her sister and if she can do that for one whole day, she will be introduce as a regular housemate. But other housemates quickly noticed her impersonation.

• entered the house during the fake eviction on Day 40 for the promotion of his Bollywood fantasy adventure film, Drona.
