The show ‘Yeh Jhuki Jhuki Si Nazar’ premiered on Star Plus on 7th March 2022. The story forces the audience to think on a Taboo subject of how racism and color bias are still an orthodox thought process of typical Indians and how fairness is preferred over good values and kindness.

The story focuses on how Diya Mathur, a young, smart, intelligent, independent and compassionate woman is being treated differently by the world just because of her “dusky” complexion. She is even rejected from her dream job because of her appearance and is assigned kitchen duty in hotel management. Even after being insulted by a model judging her looks, she does her duty faithfully and saves company's reputation. The story moves ahead with how a fair and handsome, divorced and rich Armaan Rastogi when accidentally comes across Diya is charmed by her simplicity and wisdom. The love between them soon starts to bloom and Armaan starts to see the kindness and generosity of Diya. Armaan tries to confess his feelings to Diya, but she rejects them based on the family differences they have and tries to justify how she won’t be accepted because of her color.
