Time Bomb 9/11 is a Hindi television series broadcasted on Zee TV channel. The show premiered on June 20, 2005 and ended on December 25, 2005. It is a political thriller series that has the same concept with the American television series, 24. It is created by the Zee Telefilms Limited in alliance with the Maya Movies Pvt. Ltd. The story evolves with the famous terrorist, Osama Bin Laden and his group who intends to destroy the whole city of New Delhi on the day of September 11or 9/11, and also to assassinate the Indian’s Prime Minister (played by ). Actor, played the role of Field Officer Varun Awasthi, the head of the group called, Research and Analysis Wing (RAW), whose aim is to protect the Indian’s Prime Minister and the entire city.

Time bomb also portrays the nationalism and also it shows the cruelty of the terrorists. The show has gained a widespread popularity in the initial stage but it failed to make a big turn among the Indian viewers. Osama Bin Laden plans to destroy the whole city of Delhi and made a massive plan to fulfill his mission. He even made a good attempt to perform his plans. Rajeev, along with his brilliant skills and mental ability was able to save the Prime Minister and also save the city. The show also aims to spread a huge message to the youth of the country and made awareness among the society. It also includes brotherhood and identifies the meaning of unity and power of it.

Rajeev Khandelwal became very famous after this serial and was casted for more serials. He also got an admission in the Indian film industry making his debut in the film, Aamir. He has earlier worked as a production controller in a Delhi based production house. He is also a model for several brands like LML, Green Label Whisky, Kodak Express and Videocon Refrigerators. He appeared in the telefilm, Kya Hadsaa Kya Haqeeqat, produced by Sony. The other casts of the show are Amrita Saluja Raichand who brilliantly portrayed the character of Roma Awasthi, wife of Rajeev Khandelwaal. played the character of Usmaan.
